Food Addiction Solutions, the London-based nonprofit behind the IFACC conferences, has played with the first “C” in its name: In 2024, it was the International Food Addiction Consensus Conference. In 2025, the conference explored conditions related to Food Addiction, and the “C” was for “comorbidities.” Both of those were held in London.
This year, the “C” is for “children,” and to promote access to it, the conference will be virtual, taking place on Nov. 14.
The International Food Addiction Children’s Conference will feature UNICEF’s “Fix My Food” youth initiative, amplifying the leadership of young people who are already driving food changes in their schools, communities, and countries. By placing children’s lived experience at the heart of the program, IFACC 2026 highlights the power of youth advocacy and the importance of prevention‑focused approaches to food environments.
Across three dynamic sessions, the conference will spotlight:
- Youth leadership and the lived experiences of children navigating today’s food environments.
- Emerging science on UPF [ultra-processed foods] addiction and why prevention must start early.
- Global perspectives on food systems and their impact on children’s health.
- Practical actions for families, schools, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
Speakers will include UNICEF leaders, youth ambassadors, scientific experts, clinicians, academics, public health communicators, and campaigners from across the international movement for healthier food systems.
